Privacy Policy

Effective July 21, 2026

HookTake is designed to work without collecting your personal data. Your scripts, settings, and recordings stay locally inside the app on your iPhone.

No accountYou can use every feature without signing in.
No trackingWe do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
No uploadsYour app content is not sent to our servers.

Who we are

HookTake is provided by Elevated Apps, LLC (“HookTake,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). This policy explains how the HookTake iOS app handles information.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information or app-usage data through HookTake. The app does not require an account and does not include analytics, advertising, tracking, or server-side storage.

In particular, we do not receive or collect:

  • Your scripts or teleprompter settings
  • Your photos, videos, camera feed, or microphone audio
  • Your name, email address, device identifiers, or location
  • Usage analytics, advertising data, or tracking information

Content stored on your device

Scripts, teleprompter preferences, and saved recordings are stored locally within HookTake’s app storage on your iPhone. We cannot access this content. It remains in HookTake until you delete it in the app or remove the app from your device.

Camera and microphone permissions

HookTake asks for camera access so you can preview and record video. It asks for microphone access so those recordings can include audio. These permissions are used only while you use the recording feature; the camera feed and audio are not transmitted to us.

You can change either permission at any time in iOS Settings under Apps → HookTake. If you turn a permission off, the related recording feature may not work.

Saving and sharing recordings

You can choose to save a recording to the Photos app or share it using the iOS share sheet. HookTake requests add-only Photos access when you choose Save to Photos; it does not read your photo library. Sharing and saving happen only when you initiate them, and HookTake does not receive a copy of the recording.

A copy saved to Photos remains there after you delete it from HookTake or remove the app. If you share a recording with another app or service, that destination handles the recording under its own terms and privacy policy.

Third parties and data sharing

HookTake does not automatically sell, rent, or disclose personal information. The app does not contain third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Because we do not collect app data, there is no HookTake app data for us to disclose to third parties. This does not include a recording you intentionally send through the iOS share sheet, as described above.

Apple may independently process information when you download or update the app through the App Store. Apple’s handling of that information is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

Children’s privacy

HookTake does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If HookTake’s data practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date before the new practices apply. Material changes will also be reflected in the app’s App Store privacy disclosures.
