How do I create and record a script?
Open Scripts, add a new script, and enter your title and text. Choose the script when you are ready to film, adjust your prompt controls, then tap the record button.
Where are my recordings saved?
Saved takes stay inside HookTake on your iPhone and are not uploaded to HookTake servers. Open the Videos tab to review a take, then use its actions menu to share it, save a copy to Photos, or delete it.
Why can’t HookTake use my camera or microphone?
Open iOS Settings, choose Apps, then HookTake. Turn on Camera and Microphone access. Return to HookTake and try recording again.
Can I change the teleprompter speed and text?
Yes. The recording screen lets you adjust scroll speed, font size, text alignment, and the prompt background opacity.
How do I save or share a finished take?
Open the take from the Videos tab, tap the actions button in the top-right corner, then choose Share Video or Save to Photos. Saving to Photos asks for add-only photo-library permission the first time.
How do I delete my content?
Delete individual scripts and saved takes from their menus inside HookTake. Deleting a script also removes its associated recordings from the device. You can reset all local data from Settings.
Does HookTake need an account or internet connection?
No. HookTake’s current features work locally without an account, analytics, advertising, or server data storage.
